Assessment Details
What the Assessment Includes
The complimentary assessment includes a high level review of one submitted policy for potential modernization issues, including outdated references, inconsistent terminology, dense or unclear language, fragmented structure, weak training connection, unclear supervisory duties, and areas where the policy may not function as a clear decision system for Officers, Supervisors, and Command Staff.
What You Receive
After review, you will receive a written summary identifying key modernization concerns and recommended areas for improvement. The assessment is intended to help your agency determine whether the policy should be updated, reorganized, rewritten, or converted into a clearer and more usable modern policy.
Important Limitations
The complimentary assessment is limited to one submitted policy. It is a preliminary professional review, not a full legal analysis, accreditation audit, operational audit, or final rewrite.
The assessment does not constitute legal advice and does not replace review by agency legal counsel, command staff, accreditation personnel, labor counsel, risk management professionals, or other authorized decision makers.
Submission Guidance
Please submit the policy you would like reviewed and include any concerns your agency has about the document.
You should not submit confidential, sensitive, restricted, investigative, tactical, personnel, or legally privileged materials unless authorized to do so by the agency.
